Sustainability Targets

Stellana follows HEXPOL’s global sustainability objectives, which aim to reduce our environmental impact, create safe and secure workplaces, and to be a good corporate citizen. This work is conducted out systematically, with our objectives aligned with the UN’s Agenda 2030 and the Global Sustainable Development Goals. Below is a list of the specific sustainability goals Stellana focuses on. For a more detailed account of our progress and outcomes, you can read more in HEXPOL’s Annual Report with the Sustainability Report.

Energy-Effiency

Energy consumption (GWh/net sales) is to be reduced continuously. The units work within the framework of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001 with detailed targets for in-creased energy efficiency.

Climate-Change

Carbon dioxide emissions from energy consumption (tons/net sales) are to decrease by 75 percent by 2025 compared with the average for 2018-2019 (9.5).

Management Systems

All facilities are to have certified environmental management systems (ISO 14001). Acquired companies must implement the environmental management system within a period of two years.

Hazardous Chemicals, Raw Materials and products

The use of hazardous chemicals must be identified, controlled and, wherever possible, hazardous substances are to be phased out.

HEXPOL should be viewed as a frontrunner in the polymer industry as a supplier of products that promote sustainability.

Health & Safety

The vision is that no accidents will occur at our workplaces. The target is that the number of accidents will be reduced. Systems for reporting near misses are to be in place in all operations.

Value Chain

The Supplier Sustainability Guideline is to be applied in the supply chain.
