A customer with a large number of forklifts transporting sensitive goods had been using a 75 Shore A material for many years, due to its better traction and ride comfort. Over the years, load capacity and speed have increased for many different forklift brands, and what is transported may also change over time in terms of size and weight.
The Challenge
The customer reached out to Stellana’s material experts with concerns that they could no longer use their wheels for as many hours as before, and that the forklifts needed to be charged more frequently due to increased loads in the application. After a visit to the customer’s site for inspections and to better understand their needs, our team provided a solution, which was the Stellana Powerthane® 85 material, to eliminate the problems they were having.
